H2O, Snacks and B-Day Treats!

It is very important to stay hydrated! I strongly encourage you to send in a reusable, sports-type water bottle, that contains water, each day. The kids will be asked to bring them home each day for washing.

In second grade the students do not have a regularly scheduled snack break each day.
I realize that this can be a huge adjustment for some students, and if your son or daughter would like to bring a small snack to enjoy mid-morning, with their water, they may certainly do so. However, I ask that snacks fit the nutritious category (no candy, cookies, chips, or other sugary treats will be allowed).

If your child would like to bring in a snack to share with the class, please be sure it fits the above criteria. Birthday treats are an exception, but you might consider sending in fruit or veggies instead.

If you are sending in a special treat for the class, please include all the necessary items needed for its enjoyment-napkins, plates, plastic silverware, as I don’t always have these items in stock. If the treat needs to be cut, sending it in pre-cut is greatly appreciated!  I don't have tools on hand for cutting.
